About The Event

The power that Pamela's singing has to move an audience owes a lot to the acting experience which shaped her career. She trained at the American Conservatory Theatre and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

After several years as an actress in New York, Pamela based herself in Europe. The wide-ranging appeal of her talent has taken her on a musical odyssey around the world. She is equally at home charming a supper club in New York, exciting an audience at Ronnie Scott's Club in London, delighting crowds in a Paris jazz cellar with her funky Latin-jazz explosions, appearing in concert with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and performing at jazz festivals in Australia and New Zealand. She has also appeared as the featured artist at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Cine Grill Supper Club and the Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles.

Pamela has performed several times on jazz broadcasts for BBC Radio London, ABC Radio Sydney and has been the featured artist with Radio New Zealand, with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.

Returning to Manhattan eventually, Pamela established a residency at Pisticci Restaurant in Harlem and Lily’s at the Roger Smith Hotel appearing with some of New York City’s finest jazz players; Takaaki Otomo, Art Hirohara, Noriko Ueda, Tomoko Ohno, Helio Alvez, Tim Horner, Gordon Webster, Michael O'Brien, and Kaori Yamada.

Pamela performed her original work, Thirteen Kinds of Desire, with lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa, at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, The Chicago Humanities Festival, and Princeton University featuring pianist Helen Sung. Pamela's first two self-produced CD's Love Dance and Boite de Jazz have received rave reviews which place her in the mainstream of today's outstanding jazz vocalists.

In 2021 Pamela relocated to the Berkshires where she regularly performs and teaches voice. For more information visit
