Holiday Art Show: Treasures for the Season

Guild of Berkshire Artists Art Show, October 30 – January 22

In a flurry of snow in the Berkshires, the Guild of Berkshire Artists Holiday Art Show “Treasures for the Season” opened on Friday October 30 th amidst a flurry of on-line virtual activity. The show runs through January 22 and can be accessed at https://www.berkshireartists.org/shows

The 28 artists exhibiting are presenting 50 works in ceramics, photographs and oil, watercolor, acrylics and other two-dimensional media. As appropriate for the season, the art includes Berkshire landscape winter scenes. Individual artists will be zooming on-line to talk about their work. Information on these artist “receptions” is on the show website.  

All artists pledge a minimum of 25% of their sales price to the charity of their choice, most giving to the United Way’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund for Berkshire County ( https://www.berkshireunitedway.org/berkshirecountycovid19fund ).

The Guild of Berkshire Artists has 160 Berkshire area members working in a variety of media. During the pandemic, the Guild has had virtual shows and one major in-person outdoor show entitled Six Feet Apart, Zero Degrees of Separation. This show ran from October 10-24 th and was held in cooperation with the innovative TurnPark Art Space, 2 Moscow Rd West Stockbridge, Mass.
